01Is this a mic snake or a line snake?
Both ends are balanced, so it carries either. The TRS ends handle balanced quarter-inch jacks; the female XLR ends mate with male XLR outputs.
02Will the XLR ends plug into my mixer's mic inputs?
No. Mic inputs are female and so are these ends. They connect to male XLR outputs, such as preamp or interface outs.
03Can I run this inside a wall?
Yes. It carries a CL2 rating at 60 °C, which covers in-wall installation, and it's specified from −20 to +70 °C.
04Will it pick up hum or handling noise on the floor?
Electrostatic hum pickup is rated at 2.5 mV maximum, and stepping on the cable measures 50 mV maximum. It's built to sit on the ground.
