01Is this a lead mouthpiece?
It's built for upper-register playing — shallow cup, tight throat and backbore, with a rim contour meant to stay comfortable high up. That's lead-piece territory.
02Will it fit my trumpet?
It's a standard-taper trumpet mouthpiece, so it fits normal trumpet and cornet-family receivers that take a trumpet shank.
03How is it different from the 16B4?
The 16B4 uses a different cup and rim size within the same Standard Series. The 15A4's shallow A cup and tight backbore point it at high playing.
04Can a student use it?
You can, but it works against you early on. The shallow cup thins out the low and middle register while you're still building tone and range.
