Four-pack of nylon snare tape for marching and concert snare drums. A consumable — buy when your current strip is worn or torn.
Strong match
Who this is for
- Restocking a marching band drum line's repair kit
- Replacing worn tape on a concert snare
- Keeping spares in a gig bag for quick fixes
Consider the trade-offs
When to look elsewhere
- Drummers needing snare wires, not the tape that holds them
- Kit drummers with throw-off systems that use cord or strap
- Anyone wanting a permanent fix instead of a consumable
What matters in use
The specifications, translated
Catalog numbers tell only part of the story. These are the details most likely to change how this product feels, sounds, or fits into a setup.
Detail 02
4 pack
Three spares after the first repair. Snare tape is a wear item, so a multi-pack outlasts a single strip.
Detail 03
$7.99 for the set
Roughly two dollars per strip. Cheap enough to keep a set in every drum bag.
Detail 04
Sound Percussion Labs, entry level
Basic replacement stock rather than a premium part. It does the job on student and school drums.
Final check
Know before you order
- 01Check whether your snare uses tape, cord, or strap before ordering
- 02Strips may need trimming to length for your drum
- 03No tools, wires or throw-off parts are included
Product questions
Before you decide
Straight answers to the questions shoppers most often ask about this product.
01What does snare tape actually do?
It connects the snare wires to the throw-off and butt plate, holding the wires under tension against the bottom head.
02Does it fit any snare drum?
It fits drums designed for strip-style connections. Check your throw-off first — some snares use cord or a strap instead.
03Do I have to cut it to length?
Likely yes. Strips are supplied long so they can be trimmed to your drum's depth and hardware spacing.
04How long does snare tape last?
It is a wear item. Tension and stick strikes fray it over time, which is why it ships four to a pack.
