01Will this fit my drum set tom?
No. The Crimplock collar is made for Remo marching hoops. A drum-set tom uses a standard hoop and tension rods, and this head will not seat on it.
02Clear or coated for marching tenors?
Clear gives more attack and projection, which is what most tenor lines want outdoors. Coated is warmer and softer — less useful across a field.
03How is Pinstripe different from a plain single-ply head?
Pinstripe uses two plies with damping between them, so it rings less and sounds more controlled. A plain single-ply head is more open and sustains longer.
04Do I need one head or a full set?
This is one 14-inch head. Tenor configurations mix diameters, so order a head for each drum size you're replacing.
