02How does the black film compare to clear Pinstripe?
Same two-ply damped construction, darker and slightly quieter. Black film is thicker, so attack is rounder and sustain shorter than clear.
03Do I need a special tool to change it?
A drum key for the tension rods on your marching hardware. The Crimplock hoop itself seats into the drum's mount.
04Is it good for recording?
The short, controlled decay records cleanly with minimal gating. Less useful if you want a long, ringing tom sound in the room.
