03Do I still need a muffling ring or moongel?
Usually not. The second ply and the coating already shorten decay. Fit it bare, tune it, and only add dampening if it still rings too long.
04Will brushes work on this?
Yes. The coated surface gives brushes something to grip, unlike a clear head. The heavier film is less sensitive to very light strokes.
