Strong match

Who this is for

  • Running a mixer or interface headphone out into RCA inputs
  • Feeding a laptop or phone 1/4" stereo out to a home receiver
  • Keeping one in the gig bag for unplanned RCA connections

Consider the trade-offs

When to look elsewhere

  • Balanced signal runs — the tip/ring here carries left and right
  • Anyone needing a mono 1/4" connection to a single RCA
  • Long cable runs; this is a rigid plug adapter, not a cable

What matters in use

The specifications, translated

Catalog numbers tell only part of the story. These are the details most likely to change how this product feels, sounds, or fits into a setup.

Detail 01

Stereo (TRS) 1/4" plug

Tip is left, ring is right. Plug it into a mono TS jack and you lose one channel.

Detail 02

Two female RCA jacks

You supply your own RCA cables. Nothing is attached — this is a junction, not a lead.

Detail 03

Nickel contacts

Standard plating. Conducts fine and resists tarnish, but not as corrosion-proof as gold in damp rooms.

Detail 04

Male on one end, female on the other

Only works one direction: 1/4" source out to RCA cables in. Not reversible without a second adapter.

Final check

Know before you order

  1. 01RCA cables are not included — you need two, or a stereo pair
  2. 02Hangs off the jack; support it if the RCA cables are heavy
  3. 03Confirm your 1/4" jack is stereo, not a mono instrument output

Product questions

Before you decide

Straight answers to the questions shoppers most often ask about this product.

01Will this work with my headphone jack?

Yes, if the jack is 1/4". It takes a stereo 1/4" output and splits it to left and right RCA. For 3.5mm headphone jacks you would need a different adapter.

02Can I use this to plug a guitar into an RCA input?

It will pass signal, but a guitar is mono and unbalanced at instrument level. RCA inputs expect line level, so the result will be very quiet.

03Does it come with RCA cables?

No. This is the adapter only. Bring your own RCA cables to run from the two female jacks to your destination.

04Which RCA jack is left and which is right?

The tip of the 1/4" plug carries left, the ring carries right. Check the markings on the adapter body and swap the cables if the channels come out reversed.
