01What's the difference between the 10A4 and the 10A4a?
The backbore. The 10A4 uses a standard c-backbore for less resistance and a freer blow. The 10A4a has a tight a-backbore that adds compression for upper register work.
02Will this fit my trumpet?
No. This is the cornet version, which uses a cornet shank. Trumpets need the trumpet version of the same model.
03Which Schilke cornet mouthpiece gives the darkest tone?
The funnel-shaped deep cups. The 8E2 has a deep funnel cup for a smooth, flexible tone, and the 11E's large funnel cup encourages a big round sound — both listed for cornet players.
04Is gold plating worth the price over silver?
