02What's the difference between the 9C4 and the 9?
Effectively the same cup diameter and 26 throat. The 9C4 adds the number 4 semi-flat rim, which is the endurance change.
03Is this a good student mouthpiece?
It plays fine, but .644 is on the small side of the range. Developing players usually start nearer the 13 diameter with a rounder rim.
04Does the gold plating change the sound?
Plating is a surface finish. It doesn't alter the cup diameter, the rim contour or the 26 throat.
