Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
The 000 auditorium body on this Martin Custom Shop acoustic is matched with a short 24.9-inch scale, a Sitka spruce VTS top, and wild-grain East Indian rosewood back and sides. Scalloped Sitka spruce bracing supports the top, while the ebony fingerboard, modified V mahogany neck, and 1.75-inch nut width define the playing layout. It is aimed at nuanced fingerstyle work as well as dynamic strumming, with European flame maple binding and Style 45 snowflake inlays adding visual detail.
Strong match
Who this is for
- Seated or standing acoustic work that benefits from the 000 auditorium body.
- Fingerstyle passages requiring clear articulation and response to lighter touch.
- Strumming parts that need the guitar to react to changing dynamics.
Consider the trade-offs
When to look elsewhere
- Left-handed players, as this model is right handed.
- Players who want a dreadnought body rather than a 000 auditorium shape.
