Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
Cherry Red on a solid mahogany double-cut body, this 1960 Les Paul Special Double Cut Reissue centers on a one-piece mahogany neck with a 60s SlimTaper profile and bound rosewood fingerboard. Its two Gibson Custom USA P-90 Soapbar pickups are wired with CTS potentiometers and Bumblebee paper-in-oil capacitors, giving pick attack and guitar-volume changes an immediate role in the response. The historic aluminum wraparound bridge includes intonation-adjustment screws, and a hardshell case is included.
Strong match

- Higher-register passages that benefit from the double-cutaway body’s improved upper-fret access.
