A matched set of Epiphone ProBucker humbuckers, with a ProBucker 2 in the neck and ProBucker 3 in the bridge, delivers sharp attack, singing sustain, and the classic rock voice that has made the SG a mainstay for decades. ProBucker Humbuckers Define Classic SG Response Epiphone ProBucker 2 and ProBucker 3 humbuckers provide the clarity, midrange bite, and sustain associated with traditional SG tones. Each pickup is wired to its own volume and tone control using high-quality CTS potentiometers, with a three-way selector switch for quick access to neck warmth, bridge edge, or blended sounds. This setup supports everything from articulate rhythm parts to focused lead tones. LockTone Hardware Supports Stable Performance LockTone Tune-O-Matic and Stop Bar hardware help anchor the strings securely for consistent sustain and dependable intonation. Grover Rotomatic tuners with kidney buttons and a Graph Tech nut work together to maintain tuning stability through long rehearsals and live sets, supporting reliable performance night after night. Familiar Controls Enable Quick Adjustments Black Top Hat knobs with silver reflectors mark individual volume and tone controls for each pickup, making adjustments easy to see and reach during a performance. The three-way toggle switch allows fast changes between pickup selections without interrupting your playing flow, whether on stage or in the studio. Mahogany Construction Balances Resonance and Comfort A solid mahogany body and glued-in mahogany neck contribute to the SG Standard’s lightweight feel and strong resonance. The bound rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets and pearloid trapezoid inlays offers a smooth playing surface and classic visual detail. Single-ply binding along the fretboard helps protect fret edges and supports long-term durability. Its fast neck, responsive ProBucker pickups, and dependable hardware make it a strong choice for rock, blues, and related styles.
