Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
Finished in Golden Poppy Burst, Epiphone’s 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue pairs a mahogany solidbody and one-piece mahogany neck with a maple cap carrying AAA flamed maple veneer. Two USA Gibson Custombucker humbuckers with Alnico 3 magnets, hand-wired CTS potentiometers, and Bumblebee paper-in-oil capacitors form its vintage-inspired electronics. The 1959 Rounded Medium C profile, bound rosewood fingerboard, ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, and included hardshell case make it a historically detailed single-cut package.
Strong match
Who this is for
- Clean passages, edge-of-breakup settings, and saturated lead tones that need retained articulation.
- Fine volume and tone adjustments through the hand-wired CTS control circuit.
- Storing the guitar in the included hardshell case for added protection.
Consider the trade-offs
When to look elsewhere
