Same 16.50mm cup. The 4 has a narrower 5.18mm rim and barrel backbore for a warmer, more centered tone. The 4X adds a wide cushion rim and V backbore for projection and endurance.
02Is this a good step up from a stock mouthpiece?
Yes. The mid-size cup and standard throat keep it playable while giving a warmer, better centered sound than most included mouthpieces.
03Can I use it on a cornet?
No. This has a trumpet shank. Cornets take a shorter, narrower shank.
04How do I take care of the silver plating?
Wipe it dry after playing and store it in a pouch. Rinse it in warm water weekly and brush the bore to keep the throat clear.
