01Will this fit my trombone?
Only if your trombone has a small shank receiver, typical of small-bore tenors. Large-bore horns need a large shank mouthpiece such as the 7C equivalent in Denis Wick's large shank line.
02Is the 7CS good for jazz or lead playing?
It works well up high — clean attacks, easy flexibility, strong high range. For a wider rim built more around endurance, the 12CS is the other small shank option to weigh.
03How is it different from the 6BS?
The 6BS has a wider throat (6.66mm) and a V-type backbore. The 7CS is tighter at 6.24mm with a medium backbore, so it blows with more resistance.
04Does the gold plating change the sound?
The cup, rim, throat, and backbore dimensions do the work. The plating is a contact surface, so what changes is how it feels on your lips.
