01Will this fit my large bore trombone?
No. This is a small shank. Large bore horns take large shank mouthpieces. Adapters exist but they change the response and are not a clean fix.
02What's the difference between 6BS and 6BL?
Same 25.30mm cup, 6.26mm rim, 6.66mm throat, and V-backbore. The BS is small shank, the BL is large shank. Pick by which horn you play.
03Does the gold plating change the sound?
Plating mainly changes feel and grip — gold is smoother and slicker on the lips than silver. Cup, throat, and backbore dimensions drive the sound.
04Is a medium-shallow cup enough for concert band?
It works, but you'll be working for low-register weight. If your book sits low and loud, a deeper cup will do more of that job for you.
