Independent shopping perspective

The Korena take

Two-channel amp with the same DSP as the 4002 and 2100W per channel at 4 ohms. For subwoofers and larger PA rigs that outgrew a smaller amp.

Strong match

Who this is for

  • Driving double-18 or paired subs off one rack space
  • Regional bands and production companies covering bigger rooms
  • Installs where headroom matters more than power draw

Consider the trade-offs

When to look elsewhere

  • Small rooms where the 4002 already has headroom to spare
  • Venues with tight circuits — it wants its own breaker
  • Quiet spaces; the fan scales up under load

What matters in use

The specifications, translated

Catalog numbers tell only part of the story. These are the details most likely to change how this product feels, sounds, or fits into a setup.

Detail 01

2100W per channel at 4 ohms

Roughly 75 percent more per side than the 4002, and 1200W each into 8-ohm cabs. Real headroom for subs.

Detail 02

6000W bridged at 4 ohms

Both channels drive one load. Enough for a large sub, but you give up the second output for mains.

Detail 03

15.3A under program, 180W idle

This wants a dedicated 20A circuit. Idle draw alone is nearly five times the 4002's, so it stays warm doing nothing.

Detail 04

Front-panel LCD

Shows the active preset and processing status, so you can confirm the right setup is loaded without hooking up a laptop.

Detail 05

16.2 inches deep, 24 lb

Four inches deeper and 5.5 lb heavier than the 4002. Measure shallow racks and leave room for cables behind it.

Detail 06

103 dB signal-to-noise

Residual hiss stays under the room, so an idle system between songs does not announce itself through the mains.

Final check

Know before you order

  1. 01Give it a 20A circuit; do not share with lighting
  2. 02Bridged operation is rated to 4 ohms — no lower
  3. 03Speakon and XLR cables are not included

Product questions

Before you decide

Straight answers to the questions shoppers most often ask about this product.

01Is it worth the jump from the 4002?

Only if you need the power. The DSP, connections and rack size match; you are paying for 2100W a side instead of 1200W, and heavier subs.

02Will it drive 2-ohm loads?

Yes — 3000W per channel at 2 ohms, so two 4-ohm cabs in parallel per side works. Watch the current draw at that load.

03Can it run without a computer?

Yes. The LCD and the sel/prev/next buttons cover preset changes and front-panel lockout. The USB connection is for deeper editing.

04What inputs does it take?

One XLR per channel, plus a link-out that loops the signal to another amp. RCA or unbalanced sources need an adapter or DI first.
