01How does the 52E2 compare to the 52D?
Same general large diameter, but the 52E2 has a deeper E cup and a narrower, rounder number 2 rim. More cup volume, darker sound, more air required.
02Is this suitable for euphonium?
It's recommended for euphonium players who need more cup volume than a 51D or 52D. The shank is small shank trombone, so check your receiver.
03Will it work for jazz or lead playing?
Not well. The deep cup and large throat favor a dark symphonic sound. Lead players usually want a shallower cup like the 43A or 42B.
04Can a student use this mouthpiece?
It's a demanding piece. The 1.020" diameter and deep cup need a developed embouchure and strong air. Beginners are better served by a 45 or 46.
