Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
Purple Mist gives this Custom 24-08 Mango Limited Edition a different visual identity, with its figured mango top and ziricote fingerboard set against a mahogany body and neck. The 24-fret Pattern Thin neck keeps the full 25-inch-scale layout slim and fast-feeling. TCI humbuckers supply the core sound, and two mini-toggle EQ switches introduce brighter, leaner settings through tuned high-pass filtering. The 3-way selector, volume and tone controls, Gen III tremolo, and locking Phase III tuners make those options straightforward to access.
Strong match
Who this is for
- Technical lead passages, tightly voiced rhythm parts, and wide-interval playing across the full 24-fret fingerboard.
- Moving between fuller humbucking tones and brighter, leaner voices using the two mini-toggle EQ switches.
Consider the trade-offs
When to look elsewhere
- Left-handed players; this is a right-handed instrument.
- Players who want a fixed bridge instead of the PRS Gen III tremolo.
