PRSSE Swamp Ash Special Electric Guitar Vintage Sunburst

The PRS SE Swamp Ash Special electric guitar blends classic materials and a modern pickup configuration to produce a bold, responsive guitar for players who want a distinct sound. Its swamp ash body creates a strong, punchy foundation, while the shallow violin top carve adds resonance and clarity. The 22-fret maple neck with a matching maple fretboard is made for speed and comfort, supporting quick runs and clean bends. This unit features PRS’s signature tremolo, which adds pitch control without sacrificing tuning stability. Players who want to experiment with single-coil and humbucker tones will appreciate how easily the guitar moves from snappy leads to smooth chords. With practical hardware and a robust build, the model delivers a strong tonal identity and a satisfying playing experience for those looking to stand out at practice or on stage. Swamp Ash Body and Maple Neck Improve Durability Constructed from solid swamp ash, the guitar resists wear and absorbs shock, protecting the electronics and hardware. The maple neck and fretboard add strength and provide a smooth surface for playing. Nickel hardware and a PRS designed nut withstand repeated adjustments and travel. The included gig bag offers protection during transit, keeping the instrument safe from knocks and scratches. These materials and construction choices result in a guitar built for regular gigging and long-term use. Three-Pickup Layout Adds Tonal Range PRS designed this electric guitar with two 85/15 "S" humbuckers and a PRS AS-01 single-coil pickup in the middle position. The AS-01 combines alnico and steel for more mass, producing a focused, powerful sound. A five-way blade switch and push/pull tone control let users shift quickly between pickup combinations. The circuit supports both full humbucker punch and classic single-coil clarity. Players can dial in tight low-end and mellow highs, shaping their tone for expressive solos or rhythm work. This pickup arrangement offers a clear path to distinct sound choices. Tremolo Bridge Delivers Pitch Control The PRS patented tremolo adds pitch-shifting effects to the unit without pulling the strings out of tune. The molded bridge keeps the guitar stable and responsive during aggressive playing or subtle vibrato. By engaging the tremolo arm, users can add shimmer or bend notes without losing clarity. This bridge technology gives guitarists a way to add movement and expression to their sound while keeping tuning locked in. The tremolo’s reliability encourages creative phrasing and confident performance during live sets. Control Layout Supports On-the-Fly Changes The volume knob, push/pull tone control, and five-way blade switch are placed for fast access. Players can switch between pickup settings or engage coil splits mid-song, adjusting the sound in real time. The layout helps users find their desired tone without distraction, making setup and performance smoother. Tuning is kept steady by PRS designed tuners and a well-cut nut, so the guitar stays focused through heavy playing. These controls give users direct command over their tone and setup. Player Experience Using the PRS SE Swamp Ash Special Electric Guitar Guitarists who want direct control over tone and pitch will find the PRS SE Swamp Ash Special electric guitar rewarding. The three-pickup system and tremolo bridge work together to support expressive playing and fast changes in sound.
