The fretboard is rosewood; extra-rolled binding mimics the feel of a broken-in Gibson. It also disrupts the evenness of the yellowed lacquer with a wear pattern that matches a naturally aged instrument. Powerful Pickups Nailing the tone of a PAF pickup on a late ’50s Les Paul has sent some on the biggest fool's quest since Coronado searched for the cities of gold.
