Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
Built around the 1957 Les Paul Special format, this Murphy Lab reissue pairs a one-piece solid mahogany body with two Custom Soapbar P90 pickups and a wraparound bridge/tailpiece. Its Ultra Light aging concentrates on lacquer checking with very limited playing wear, giving the TV Yellow finish a lightly timeworn appearance. The solid mahogany neck uses a Chunky C profile and rosewood fingerboard, while the single-cut body provides access to the upper fingerboard.
