01How is this different from a power strip?
Surge capacity and behavior. It clamps 6,500-amp spikes in a nanosecond, filters line noise across a wide band, shuts down on over-voltage, and meters the line.
02Does it need a 20-amp outlet?
For the full rating, yes. On a 15-amp circuit the breaker limits you first, though the conditioner still filters and protects normally.
03Will it fix hum in my rig?
Sometimes. It filters incoming noise and avoids ground leakage, which helps. Hum from a ground loop between devices needs an isolator instead.
04Does it work on 230V power?
Only the E version, which runs 180 to 280 VAC at a 16-amp rating. The standard unit operates from 90 to 140 VAC.
