Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
Fender’s Player II Advanced HSS HT Stratocaster takes an alder Strat body into a more output-focused configuration with a Seymour Duncan JB TB-4 bridge humbucker and Custom Flat Strat SSL-6 single-coils at the neck and middle. The five-way switch and separate tone controls for bridge and neck/middle pickups give the HSS layout clear control options. A satin Modern C maple neck, 12-inch-radius ebony board and 22 jumbo frets set up a contemporary playing surface, while the string-through hardtail bridge and locking tuners make it a fixed-bridge Strat platform.
Strong match
Who this is for
- Players who want bridge-humbucker output alongside neck and middle single-coil pickup positions.
- Rehearsal or stage use where the five-way selector and separate pickup tone controls matter.
- Players seeking a fixed-bridge Stratocaster with locking tuning machines.
Consider the trade-offs
When to look elsewhere
- Players who require a left-handed guitar.
- Players looking for a vibrato bridge; this model uses a string-through-body hardtail bridge.
