01EQ4 or EMAD?
EQ4 has damping built in and costs less. EMAD uses removable foam rings so you can change how much ring is cut.
02Do I need to muffle the drum too?
The head handles the ring on its own for most rooms. Add a pillow only if you want a very dead sound.
03Is this the front head?
No. This is the batter head that the beater hits. The front head is a separate item.
04Will it fit a 22-inch kick?
No. This is the 20-inch version and will not seat on a 22-inch shell.
