01Does this fit a 22 inch bass drum?
No. This is a 20-inch head and fits 20-inch bass drums only. Evans makes the same head in other diameters.
02Do I still need a pillow inside the drum?
Usually not. The built-in muffling ring handles most of the ring. Add a light towel only if you want an even drier sound.
03Is this the front head or the one I hit?
The batter head — the one your pedal beater strikes. The front resonant head is a separate purchase.
04Will it protect the head from the beater?
Not on its own. A separate impact patch is recommended to keep the beater from wearing through the film.
