SYNTRX II places a fully analog sound engine behind a 16 × 16 digitally controlled analog patch matrix, replacing patch cables with stored routing. Two audio-rate oscillators, a third oscillator that reaches audio range, ring modulation, sample and hold, and a looping trapezoid envelope provide the raw material for detailed experimentation. Recordable joystick movement, 256 patch memories, and the integrated 16-step piano-roll sequencer make it practical to capture and revisit evolving setups without rebuilding the routing each time.
