EpiphoneFutura SG Custom Electric Guitar - Nitro Shift

Fast, aggressive and built to respond instantly under your hands, the Epiphone Futura SG Custom channels the stripped-down energy of the SG into a modern, feature-rich platform. Part of the Futura Series—designed to deliver pro-level performance, expanded tonal flexibility and bold contemporary styling at an accessible price—it pairs a lightweight mahogany body with a set of Epiphone’s new ProBucker Ignite humbuckers for punch, clarity and dynamic range. Push/pull controls unlock coil splitting and phase switching for added sonic versatility, while a compound-radius ebony fingerboard with stainless steel frets ensures smooth playability, whether you’re laying down tight rhythm work or digging into expressive bends. Available in two striking Chromashift colors—Nitro Shift and Midnight Ember Shift—it’s a precision-built instrument designed for speed, control and unmistakable stage presence. Mahogany Body for Resonance and Midrange Punch The Futura SG Custom’s solid mahogany body delivers the focused midrange and fast attack that define the SG voice. Its thinner, double-cutaway design keeps the instrument lightweight and highly resonant, allowing notes to respond quickly and sustain naturally. The contoured shape also enhances playing comfort, making it easy to access the upper frets and maintain control during more demanding passages. It’s a formula that has made the SG a favorite among performers for decades, offering a direct, responsive feel that stays agile on stage while delivering the bite, presence and immediacy needed to cut through a mix. Mahogany Neck and Ebony Fingerboard for Precision A glued-in mahogany neck with a Modern C profile offers a fast, comfortable feel that supports both rhythm and lead playing. The ebony fingerboard adds snap and articulation, while the 10–14” compound radius allows for smooth chord work near the nut and effortless bends higher up the neck. Stainless steel medium-jumbo frets provide long-term durability and a slick playing surface, and Super 400-style pearloid split block inlays add a refined visual touch. The result is a responsive playing platform built for accuracy and speed. ProBucker Ignite Pickups, Coil Splitting and Phase Switching for Versatile Tone Equipped with ProBucker Ignite humbuckers, the Futura SG Custom delivers a powerful, articulate voice with tight lows, focused mids and clear highs. Push/pull controls allow you to split the coils for brighter, single-coil-style tones or engage phase switching for more distinct, cutting textures. This expanded control layout makes it easy to move between traditional SG tones and more modern, flexible sounds without changing instruments. LockTone Hardware and Premium Components The LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece provide stable intonation and strong sustain, while locking Grover Rotomatic tuners ensure precise tuning and quick string changes. A Graph Tech nut enhances tuning consistency and resonance, and Posi-Lok strap buttons offer added security for stage use. These components work together to create a reliable, performance-ready instrument that holds up under demanding playing conditions. A Modern SG Design With Visual Impact Blending the iconic SG silhouette with contemporary features and finishes, the Epiphone Futura SG Custom delivers a fast-playing, tonally flexible instrument built for modern musicians. Its combination of lightweight construction, expanded electronics and bold Chromashift finishes makes it a compelling choice for players who want classic attitude with updated performance.
