Either, as long as the shell is 14 inches. On most five-piece kits that is the floor tom.
02Do I still need moongel with this?
The SX ring already damps the overtones. Adding gel on top usually kills the note too far.
03Will it fit a 14 inch snare?
It is cut as a tom head. The collar depth differs from a snare head, so seating will not be right.
04How is this different from a clear single ply?
Two plies plus the ring mean more durability, a lower pitch, and much less ring. A single ply is brighter and sustains longer.
