01Will this fit my tenor mouthpiece?
It fits standard tenor hard rubber mouthpieces. Metal and oversized mouthpieces run a different diameter and often will not clamp properly. Check your mouthpiece, not your horn.
02Does a ligature change my sound?
Barely, at this level. A ligature's job is to hold the reed flat and steady. Reed strength and mouthpiece do the real tonal work.
03Will this work on alto sax?
No. This is sized for tenor. An alto mouthpiece is smaller and the band will not tighten down on it.
04How tight should I screw it down?
Snug, not cranked. Just enough that the reed does not shift when you play. Over-tightening warps the ligature and chokes the reed.
