Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
Built for a player who needs control at the instrument, the BB735A combines a five-string layout with selectable active/passive operation, a 3-band EQ, and pickup balance control. Its alder/maple/alder body, maple/mahogany bolt-on neck, and Alnico V pickup pair give you a clearly defined platform for shaping the result. The Vintage Plus bridge also offers diagonal body-through stringing or tail-end string mounting, plus two saddle-angle options. A gig bag is included for transport.
Strong match

- Using either diagonal body-through stringing or tail-end bridge string mounting.
Consider the trade-offs
When to look elsewhere
- Players who need a four-string bass.
