01Will these fit an alto saxophone?
No. These are soprano saxophone reeds. Alto uses a larger reed and the two are not interchangeable.
02Is 3.5 too hard for soprano?
It is on the firmer side, especially in a V12 blank. If you currently play a 3 on a traditional cut, start at 3 in V12.
03Why does soprano need a harder reed than my alto?
Soprano's small bore and short tube make pitch harder to control. A firmer reed adds resistance that helps stabilize intonation.
04How many of the ten will actually play well?
Cane is natural material, so expect variation. Most players find a few standouts, several usable, and one or two duds per box.
