It can be. Strength 2 suits beginners, doublers, and closer mouthpieces. On an open jazz mouthpiece it will likely close up and lose the bottom end.
02What is the difference between JAVA and JAVA Red?
JAVA Red uses a thicker blank. It gives more body and center than standard JAVA while keeping the same free-blowing, jazz-leaning response.
03Why only five reeds for more money?
Baritone reeds use far more cane per reed than alto or soprano. Larger reeds, smaller box, higher price per reed.
04Can I use these on bass clarinet?
No. Bass clarinet takes its own reed size. Bari sax reeds are cut differently and will not seat properly on a bass clarinet mouthpiece.
