Whether you're recording lead vocals, a grand piano or a full orchestra, this matched stereo pair delivers sound quality befitting the U47's hallowed legacy. Iconic Design Reborn With Modern Precision One glance at the Diamond Series U47, and you'll recognize the iconic design that made the original a studio staple. The large chrome headgrille houses a newly manufactured M7 capsule—the same one used in Georg Neumann's pioneering 1928 design. Inside, a custom BV8 output transformer and VF14K vacuum tube serve as worthy modern replacements for the original components, while retaining the warm, nuanced tone that made the U47 a classic. With its matte nickel body and vintage-style diamond logo, this recreation nails the look and feel of a true recording legend. Stereo Pair Optimized for Seamless Recordings While the original U47 was a mono mic, the Diamond Series set comes as a stereo-matched pair for flawless stereo tracking. Both microphones feature sequentially numbered components and housings for perfectly matched performance. They're powered by a custom dual power supply that energizes both mics simultaneously. From the factory, TELEFUNKEN's engineers hand-selected and tuned this pair to exhibit uniform off-axis response for seamless imaging across the stereo field. With the U47 stereo pair, your recordings will exhibit uncompromising depth, dimension and realism. The Sound That Defined Generations Beyond its visual pedigree, the real magic of the U47 lies in its transcendent tone. The microphone's authoritative midrange and extended low-end response have graced countless iconic recordings—from Frank Sinatra's vocals to John Coltrane's saxophone solos. With the Diamond Series U47 Stereo Set, you'll experience those same full, natural reproduction qualities that have made it a first-call for engineers worldwide. Vocals take on a rich, tangible presence. Acoustic instruments bloom with stunning detail and resonance. Even the loudest sources stay smooth and articulate.
