Independent shopping perspective

The Korena take

In-ear monitors for stage or practice. Isolation and a single dynamic driver make them a first real IEM for gigging players on a budget.

Strong match

Who this is for

  • Drummers or singers needing click and monitor mix onstage
  • Practicing quietly against a loud amp or kit
  • Players who want low-visibility monitors that disappear under stage lights

Consider the trade-offs

When to look elsewhere

  • Studio mixing decisions — the response is rolled off up top
  • Casual listening with a phone and no adapter
  • Anyone needing separate lows and highs from multiple drivers

What matters in use

The specifications, translated

Catalog numbers tell only part of the story. These are the details most likely to change how this product feels, sounds, or fits into a setup.

Detail 01

Up to 37dB isolation

Blocks roughly as much as good earplugs, so you can run lower stage volume and still hear detail.

Detail 02

Single dynamic MicroDriver

One driver covers everything. Bass is full and cohesive, treble is softer than multi-driver monitors.

Detail 03

Detachable MMCX cable, 360-degree rotation

Cables are the first thing to fail on IEMs. When this one goes, replace the cable, not the earphones.

Detail 04

22Hz–17.5kHz

Low end reaches kick-drum territory. The top rolls off early, which keeps cymbals from getting harsh.

Detail 05

20 ohm, 107dB SPL/mW

Easy to drive. A phone, a wireless pack, or a headphone jack on a mixer will get them plenty loud.

Detail 06

Kevlar-reinforced cable, 64 inch

Long enough to run to a belt pack under a shirt, and the reinforcement resists the tugs that kill thin cables.

Final check

Know before you order

  1. 01No 1/4 inch adapter and no wireless pack — those are separate purchases
  2. 02Isolation depends on sleeve fit; try the included sizes before a gig
  3. 03Black housings hide dirt but also hide left/right markings in low light

Product questions

Before you decide

Straight answers to the questions shoppers most often ask about this product.

01Can I use these with a wireless in-ear system?

Yes. They terminate in a standard 3.5mm plug and the 20 ohm load suits belt-pack receivers. Check whether your pack's connector needs a locking sleeve.

02Are the cables replaceable?

Yes. The gold-plated MMCX connectors detach, so a worn or broken cable can be swapped without replacing the earphones.

03Will these work for mixing?

Not really. The top end rolls off at 17.5kHz and the low end is full, so they flatter more than they reveal. Use them for monitoring and reference elsewhere.

04What is the difference between Black and Clear?

Housing color only. Same driver, same isolation, same cable and same price. Black is less visible onstage.
