Independent shopping perspective

The Korena take

Dual-driver sound isolating earphones with detachable cable. For stage and studio use where isolation and a replaceable cable matter more than driver count.

Strong match

Who this is for

  • Monitoring on stage with a wireless belt pack
  • Tracking in the studio without headphone bleed
  • Everyday critical listening in loud environments

Consider the trade-offs

When to look elsewhere

  • Situations where you need to hear what's around you
  • Buyers wanting wireless with no cable at all
  • Anyone unwilling to fuss with tip fit to get a seal

Detail 01

Dual microdrivers

Two drivers per side split lows from highs, keeping the midrange from getting crowded the way a single driver does.

Detail 02

Up to 37dB isolation

Same physical blocking as the pricier model here. Isolation comes from the seal, not driver count.

Detail 03

22 ohm, 109dB SPL/mW

Lower sensitivity than the 535, so you'll turn your pack or phone up further for the same volume.

Detail 04

Detachable cable at the ear

Cables fail before drivers do. Swapping the cable saves the earphones.

Detail 05

20Hz–19kHz range

Full-range coverage. With a good seal the low end arrives without needing a wedge or sub.

Detail 06

64 inch cable, wireform fit

Routes over the ear and down your back to a belt pack. Reduces cable noise transmitted into your ears.

Final check

Know before you order

  1. 013.5 mm plug — confirm your belt pack input or bring an adapter
  2. 02Try all included tip sizes; a bad seal loses the low end and the isolation
  3. 03No wireless transmitter included; these are wired earphones

Product questions

Before you decide

Straight answers to the questions shoppers most often ask about this product.

01How is this different from the SE535?

Two drivers instead of three, and lower sensitivity, so it needs more volume. Isolation, cable and connector are the same.

02Do they work with a phone?

Yes, via 3.5 mm. At 22 ohm and 109dB SPL/mW you'll set the volume higher than with more sensitive earphones.

03Is this active noise cancelling?

No. The isolation is from the ear tip sealing the canal. Nothing to charge.

04What if the cable breaks?

It detaches at the ear and can be replaced without replacing the earphones.
