The narrower C facing pairs with medium to harder reeds, commonly 2.5 to 3.5. Start at 3 and adjust by how much resistance you want.
02Will my current ligature fit?
Ligatures sized for standard hard rubber alto mouthpieces generally fit. Metal-mouthpiece ligatures are a different diameter and will not.
03Is this a jazz or classical mouthpiece?
Classical. The square chamber and C facing produce a focused, controlled tone built for concert band and orchestral work rather than projection in a rhythm section.
04How do I clean it?
Rinse with lukewarm water and a mouthpiece brush. Avoid hot water and alcohol — both damage hard rubber and can discolor it.
