Same general size and response, but the 47C4 has a slightly wider, semi-flat number 4 rim. The difference is rim comfort, not tone.
02Is this a good step up from a student mouthpiece?

03Will this fit my bass trombone?
No. It's a small shank piece for small and medium bore tenor trombones. Bass trombones need a large shank.
