Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
Schecter’s C-1 Platinum pairs a mahogany body and figured maple top with EMG 81/85 active pickups, a 25.5-inch scale, and 24 X-Jumbo frets. The Ultra Access set-neck joint and double-cutaway body keep the upper frets accessible when parts move high on the neck. Select the EMG 81 at the bridge for cutting mids and tight lows, or the EMG 85 at the neck for warmer, sustaining sounds. A Tune-o-matic string-through bridge and Thin C three-piece maple neck complete the build.
