Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
Roundhouse HH puts two Steelhead humbuckers into a thinner korina single-cut body with a solid maple archtop. The bridge pickup is voiced for strong attack, while the neck pickup brings a warmer response; select between them with the three-way switch. Bass Contour trims low end when you want a tighter, more open response, and the treble bleed circuit keeps highs present as the volume comes down. The rear belly contour, ebony fingerboard, three-piece korina neck, TOM/stop-tail bridge and pin-lock tuners make it a practical dual-humbucker working layout.
Strong match
Who this is for
- Rock rhythm and lead parts needing thick humbucker body with defined attack.
- Long gigs, rehearsals or studio sessions where the rear belly contour aids handling.
- Players who use Bass Contour to tighten low end in heavier rhythm passages.
Consider the trade-offs
When to look elsewhere
- Players seeking a supplied case or gig bag; the Two-Toned Teardrop option is sold separately.
- Players looking for a P90-equipped pickup layout; this model has two Steelhead humbuckers.
