PRSS2 Custom 24 Electric Guitar - Fire Red Burst

The S2 Custom 24 electric guitar from PRS offers you the soul of a timeless instrument reimagined for today. This sleek guitar retains the resonant maple top and mahogany back combination of the Custom 24, PRS's flagship model. Its asymmetrical beveled maple top not only looks elegant, but contributes to the guitar's balanced, clear voice. For 2024, the S2 Custom 24 has been updated with Maryland, USA-wound 85/15 pickups and electronics for pure PRS tone. The versatile 5-way blade switch lets you move between sparkling bridge single-coil tones to thick, singing humbuckers. While streamlined in features, this inspiring instrument has everything a player needs. The S2 Custom 24 is for PRS veterans and newcomers alike who crave authentic American craftsmanship. Shape Your Sound With USA-Made Pickups and Electronics This 2024 edition of the S2 Custom 24 has USA-made 85/15 "S" pickups and electronics, just like PRS' flagship guitars. The 85/15 refers to the percentage of copper versus nickel wound around the coils—85% copper provides enhanced clarity and definition. These pickups lend the S2 Custom 24 a clear, balanced voice that can go from shimmering clean tones to roaring overdrive. The 5-way blade switch offers instant access to versatile pickup combinations. Use the bridge "S" pickup alone for articulate leads or the neck pickup for warm, round tones. The electronics have been redesigned by PRS to match the USA models, giving you exceptional control over your tone shaping. Resonant Tonewood Combination in an Iconic Body Style The S2 Custom 24 combines a figured maple top with a mahogany back, a pairing cherished for its balanced and resonant tone. The maple brings definition, while the mahogany provides a smooth, full low end and sweet mids. This guitar uses the same time-tested body shape with an asymmetrical beveled top that PRS has perfected over decades. Sleekly contoured for comfort, the Custom 24's proportions also enhance the guitar's natural resonance and sustain. The beveled top adds an elegant, distinctive touch. Combined with a 25" scale length and PRS' instantly recognizable headstock shape, the S2 Custom 24 is a fresh take on this PRS classic. Playability and Attention to Detail PRS's passion for craftsmanship shines through in the S2 Custom 24. The 25" scale length, wide thin maple neck and rosewood fingerboard feel instantly familiar. Intonation is excellent thanks to PRS's meticulous setup. The trademark bird inlays on the fingerboard add a touch of class. Tremolo flutter, tuning stability and sustain are superb with the PRS-designed tremolo bridge and enclosed tuners. From its stunning looks to its resonant voice, the S2 Custom 24 delivers a truly inspiring playing experience.
