Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
Built around a semi-hollow construction, this Private Stock Special combines a Macassar ebony top, mahogany back, ebony fingerboard, and mahogany neck. The H-NF-H setup uses 58/15 LT humbuckers with a Narrowfield middle pickup; its pickup selector and coil-tapping controls broaden the available settings. A 25-inch scale, 22 frets, Modern D neck, and 10–14-inch compound-radius fingerboard define the neck specification. PRS Phase III locking tuners and a Gen III patented tremolo complete the hardware package, with a black leather Private Stock case included.

Who this is for

Consider the trade-offs
When to look elsewhere
