Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
Modern Eagle V combines a mahogany back and flame maple top with a mahogany neck and East Indian rosewood fingerboard. Its three-pickup layout—TCI humbuckers at the neck and bridge plus an NS-01 single-coil in the middle—works through a 5-way selector, push/pull tone control, and two coil-split toggles. That gives you several pickup configurations from one guitar, while the PRS Gen III tremolo adds pitch control. It has a 25-inch scale, 22 frets, locking tuners, and a hardshell case.
Strong match
Who this is for
- Changing pickup configurations during guitar parts that call for contrasting pickup sounds.
- Players wanting tremolo pitch variation alongside coil-splitting controls and a five-way selector.
Consider the trade-offs
When to look elsewhere
- Players who specifically require a fixed bridge rather than a tremolo system.
