Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
Built around a 14-fret slope-shoulder dreadnought body, the DSS-17 pairs a solid spruce top with mahogany back and sides. It delivers a balanced voice with crisp treble, robust mids, and complex bass, making it suitable for both strummed accompaniment and detailed fingerpicked parts. The Modified Low Oval neck with High Performance Taper and satin finish focuses on a smooth, comfortable playing feel. Whiskey Sunset burst, antique-white binding, and a faux-tortoise pickguard give the guitar a vintage-influenced look.
