Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
Built around a D-14 fret dreadnought body, the D-42 Standard combines a spruce top with East Indian rosewood back and sides. Its forward-shifted, GE-scalloped X bracing is paired with a sound described as rich, resonant, balanced, and wide-ranging, with projection from the dreadnought design. The GE Modified Low Oval neck and High Performance taper join an ebony fingerboard with a 1-3/4 inch nut width. Natural gloss finish, antique white binding, abalone appointments, and a faux-tortoise pickguard complete the instrument.
Strong match
Who this is for
