Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
The orange MR1 pairs Mahalo’s soprano format with a full-gloss finish, a Sengon neck and body, and fitted Aquila Nylgut strings. Its Canadian NuBone Extended Bass (XB) saddle is made to increase projection and bass response. Mahalo describes the string set as fuller, louder, balanced, and rich in tonal harmonics. The included Mahalo carry bag makes it straightforward to pack for lessons or a casual rehearsal.
