Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
Built in Japan, the Road Flare Red RG550 Genesis Collection is a performance-focused solidbody electric guitar with a basswood body and bolt-on five-piece maple/walnut Super Wizard neck. Its 24 jumbo frets and 25.5-inch scale give you two octaves to work across. The passive V7/S1/V8 HSH pickup set and five-way selector cover clean, rhythm and saturated lead sounds, while the Edge tremolo, locking nut and Gotoh machines support vibrato work and larger pitch effects.
Strong match
Who this is for
- Technical electric-guitar parts that use fast position changes across all 24 frets.

- Players using subtle vibrato through to dramatic tremolo dive effects.
Consider the trade-offs
