No. It's sized for a 10-inch bell, which is bass trombone territory. On a tenor bell the clips won't grip properly and the mute will hang loose or fall.
02Does a bucket mute change how the horn plays?
Very little. Because it hangs outside the bell instead of plugging it, back-pressure and intonation stay close to open. It mainly changes the timbre.
