Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
Built around the core Les Paul formula, this right-handed solidbody pairs a mahogany body and maple top with a rounded '50s mahogany neck. Burstbucker 1 and Burstbucker 2 humbuckers cover the neck and bridge positions, while separate volume and tone controls let you rebalance the pickups before selecting neck, bridge, or both. The ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic and aluminum stopbar complete the fixed-bridge layout. It arrives in a Gold finish with a hardshell case.
Strong match
Who this is for
- Players who want separate controls for each humbucker during rehearsal, recording, or stage set changes.
- Guitarists looking for a substantial rounded '50s neck profile and 24.75-inch scale length.
Consider the trade-offs
When to look elsewhere
- Left-handed players; this guitar is specified in a right-handed orientation.
- Players seeking a single-coil pickup layout; it uses two passive humbuckers.
