Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
Gibson Custom’s 1958 Mahogany Explorer Reissue brings the angular Explorer form together with a two-piece mahogany body, ’50s Vintage mahogany neck, and unbound Indian rosewood fingerboard. The HH pickup set uses two unpotted CustomBucker Alnico 3 humbuckers, controlled by two volumes and one tone control. Antique Natural nitrocellulose lacquer and gold VOS appointments reinforce the period-focused presentation, while the 22-fret, 24.75-inch-scale neck provides the listed playing layout for rhythm parts and lead work.
